Woodlands Leeds Wedding Photography - Sophie & Tom

Last Saturday I was at another fab wedding venue in the Leeds area of Yorkshire at Woodlands on Gelderd Road with Sophie & Tom

I started early morning with all the girls getting ready in the centre of Leeds at the Marriot Hotel and managed to bag a spot outside to park up (didn't fancy running through the centre of Leeds early morn with both cameras flapping about) we also had the huge corner room overlooking Leeds Centre too as I captured all the getting ready vibes plus got made a lovely brew from one of the bridesmaids and biccys 😂

After some time with all the girls I set off to Woodlands to capture some guests arriving looking all glammed up and see Tom looking as cool as ever whilst they all waited to be ushered into the ceremony room. Massive shout to ALL the friendly staff at Woodlands too (see you in Sept)

When the ceremony had concluded I always encourage lots of celebrations outside to capture natural interactions, then just a few shots with the car before we went for a drive around the area with Paul from Westfield Cars at the wheel

As we returned from the drive I encouraged everybody down on the bottom ground area to go through as many group shots, couple shots and fun stuff in the time allowed before heading into the marquee to enjoy the speeches (awesome best man speech) and reception meal, after the speeches I had about 30 mins break in the bar area and massive thanks to Sophie & Tom for sorting me out with bar tab (no there was no alcohol involved just a tasty burger and chips)

Fantastic day and lots of fun & laughter as standard just like it should be with everybody, thanks for making me feel so welcome guys x

Hollins Hall Engagement Photography

Met up with Carol & Darren earlier today at Hollins Hall in Baildon for a Pre Shoot and to go through any wedding info like family pics etc

The weather was looking super sunny and I tried to stay in the shade as much as poss to keep them highlights in check, we wandered around the beautiful grounds and I defo felt the fun with these 2 crazies

After some time getting some shots we headed inside to take advantage of the air con bar area to chat about wedding plans and ideas

Coniston Hotel Pre Wedding - Carol & Lee

I met up with Carol & Lee yesterday at Coniston Hotel for a pre shoot and to go through ideas and shots for their upcoming wedding. The weather was gorgeous so we defo had to have a walk around the lake (like you do) and after spending some time with these two crazy and rather flexible (check Lee's gymnastics) I know we are going to have a fun day!

After some time with Carol & Lee around the fab grounds we sat down outside to go through  any info for group shots, family stuff etc whilst getting attacked by 1 or 2 wasps outside 😂 and theses me thinking I haven't really seen many wasps this year!

Cubley Hall Wedding Photography - Laura & Louis

Yesterday I was at a brand new venue for us at Cubley Hall in Penistone Sheffield to capture Laura & Louis wedding and what a fab day it was too!

I started at Cubley Hall trying to blend in with all the girls and capture the getting ready vibe plus Louis was arriving later so I had Danny as 2nd photographer coming along later to capture the guests arriving too

The weather could not have been better really, loads of gorgeous light all around and lovely blue sky too. The ceremony was outside at Cubley Hall which was great as we didn't loose any time going from locations.

Cubley Hall really is a great venue and the field at the side made for some epic shots of this fun loving couple, though apparently according to Laura there was a devil horse in the filed giving her the evils 😂😂😂

The staff at Cubley Hall really were fantastic too, super friendly and very helpful (we got fed too)

After the ceremony outside we just started with couple shots, confetti and any family stuff they wanted, saving Bride & Groom stuff till later as I knew the weather was going to stay nice all day

Laura & Louis really were awesome (thanks guys) and thanks so much for booking us for your wedding

Rotherham Wedding Photographer - Manorial Barn Wedding

The 2nd of another double wedding weekend last Saturday with Beckie & Kurt at Manorial Barn in Rotherham. I arrived bright and early at Carlton Park Hotel nearby to catch all the girls getting ready plus another red hot day in the gorgeous sun.

The girls were making a few trips down to manorial Barn as it was so close by so I set off with the first lot to try capture so guests arriving and Kurt trying not to look too nervous.
Beckie arrived in a really well restored VW camper van (and we got a drive around later) just as everybody entered inside the barn ceremony area.
I was allowed to stay at the front through the service to capture the action and smiles too so all good!

After the ceremony we headed outside to get that all important confetti shot, family pics, couple shots etc etc in the time allowed before Beckie & Kurt tripped off in the camper van, I also got a ride to see if we could stop anywhere to get some shots of them in the sunshine (we found some horses)
As we arrived back at Manorial Barn there was still time to crack on with some more shots (love it when our couples allow us the time to capture the fun & laughter as well as family pics) before everybody was seated for the reception (i got a place near the top table with Beckie's sister wahoooo full meal for Kev)

Speeches after the meal and then we all enjoyed the fresh air outside the barn and just got some relaxed shots of couples before I had some time with Beckie & Kurt just outside the barn (chilling time)

Rocking on the dance floor (though couldn't get Kurt to do a dance off) to funky tunes (though we also did get a slight 30 mins power cut in the village but the photobooth team to the rescue with a bluetooth speaker so we had music)

Wentbridge House Wedding Photographer - Lauren & Thomas

Last Friday I was back at the gorgeous Wentbridge House for Lauren & Thomas's wedding celebrations, the sun was once again shining and it looked like a great day ahead of us.

Lauren was getting ready in the new build part of Wentbridge House with her girls and after some time getting some shots of the grounds I went up to introduce myself and try blend in 😂

After some time with the girls I set off to the church in Sprotborough and I did notice it had started raining a bit (was only a shower though) so no need to get a flap on 😆
After a quick chat with the vicar lady I waited for Lauren's arrival and throughout the ceremony captured the service from a great spot up the front on the church

After the ceremony I encouraged everyone outside with lots of congratulations type shots plus confetti and got some family stuff as noticed a lovely spot round the side in great light and a nice church door

Everyone set off to Wentbridge House and I arrived just before the Bride & Groom, a few quick shots with the cars and cracked on with as many formal, family & fun shots as poss in the time allowed before they all were sat down inside the Chrystal Suite to enjoy some tasty food and nice air con!

Speeches after the meal and then I encouraged everybody back to the front gardens to get some more stuff we didn't get time for earlier in the day before I had a little time with Lauren & Thomas around the grounds and just outside Wentbridge House

Wentbridge House Wedding Photographer - Laura & Craig

The 2nd of a double wedding weekend last weekend with Laura & Craig at Wentbridge House, I met up with Laura early morning at her parents house in Doncaster (gorgeous place guys) and just tried to blend in (like you do) whilst all the girls (and dad) got ready, the sun was shining but we had some clouds (yippee) to diffuse that harsh sun

When Laura was ready and in her dress we set off to church to await her arrival and try to capture a few guests arriving and Craig trying not to look too nervous 😂
A quick chat with the vicar lady too about what she was happy with, we had to stay at the back of the church throughout the ceremony 😒

After the ceremony I encouraged everybody outside to capture some natural reactions whilst everybody congratulated the Bride & Groom before I arranged the all important confetti shot.

The reception was at the magical Wentbridge House and as soon as we arrived I got as many couple shots before some main group shots plus fun and as many formal and family type pics in the time allowed (where does the time go) before all the guests were encouraged inside for the receiving line.

The room really did look awesome with using the outdoor ceremony chairs and loved all the names on the table relating to places relevant to Laura & Craig

Chevin Lodge Wedding Photography - Beth & Alex

Last Friday I met up with Beth and all the girls at Chevin Lodge in Otley for the getting ready part of their wedding day, the sun was shining and the sun cream was defo on. When I arrived I also hand delivered a framed print of Chevin Lodge at Night (image at bottom of highlights) that I had shot at a previous wedding here (so hope to see that on the walls next time I visit)

Alex (the groom) was also at Chevin Lodge getting ready and Beth had him a few jobs to sort out like organising some shot jars, as the cabins were close by it was nice to kinda just go between to capture the build up.

After some time in one of the log cabins all the girls headed over to the bridal suite which overlooked the main part of Chevin Lodge including the lake (what a gorgeous view) and I always like to keep this part not too formal at all just capturing the action as it unfolds.

As everybody started to make their way around the downstairs outside part of where the ceremony was going to be I captured as many couple shots as I could in this time before we were all ushered upstairs to the roof top to await the Brides entrance.

The ceremony was great on the roof terrace with lots of natural light and the odd plane flying overhead every so often. After the ceremony I encouraged all the wedding party down to the lakeside and went through as many formal, fun and group shots as poss in the time before we were all led down to the reception room to enjoy some shade and tasty food (I even to sit with the wedding party and got a full meal wahooo)

Speeches before meal and after the reception we all enjoyed the space outside the reception room still overlooking the lake and enjoyed the eve sun before I had some time with Beth & Alex around the lake

Dancing till late into the eve plus fun with sparklers outside of course

Lifestyle Photography at Temple Newsman - Fiona, Gary & Benson

Last night I met up with another cute family and their doggie called Benson at Temple Newsam for a Lifestyle Shoot, Benson also brought his fav toy along his brightly coloured doggie frisbee that apparently he takes everywhere with him 😂

Our Lifestyle Shoots are super relaxed and very informal, so really no need to stress at all about having fun whilst we create some magical memories just using our awesome Nikon 70-200 2.8 lens (fav lens), we like it as natural as poss with little directions along the way.

We wandered around the grounds of Temple Newsam (the grass was looking a little worse for wear but we are not complaining about this gorgeous summer we are having) and just chatted along the way getting to know some more about Fiona & Gary whilst Benson just did his thing, I think he defo was looking forward to a dip in the lake later on as we made our way down there. 

The grounds really are a perfect choice for this type of shoot and theres so many places I was literally spoilt for choice

Wentbridge House Engagement Photography - Steph & Jamie

I met up with the gorgeous and slightly crazy Steph & Jamie last night at one of our fav wedding venues for a pre shoot meeting Wentbridge House (how were we to know the football was on doh)

We had some gorgeous eve light all around the village so a defo walk around there was a must, I showed Steph & Jamie some of my fav places for pics just outside the grounds of Wentbridge before heading back in to get some shots using the fab grounds before we sat down outside in the courtyard at the rear to chat about various stuff like group shots and oh errr Love Island :-)

Below we have some highlights from last night fun with Steph & Jamie and I got back in time to see England win the football!!! Lets hope we can keep it up?

Rogerthorpe Manor Wedding Photography - Amanda & Luke

Last Friday I was back at another fab wedding venue in the Yorkshire area Rogerthorpe Manor with Amanda & Luke plus this was also Leonards first wedding he attended with us #flamingolove

I started at Rogerthorpe on another gorgeous sunny day (how much are we loving this summer) with all the girls getting ready in the amazing & really spacious and AIR CONDITIONED rooms, absolutely loved the space plus the light upstairs in the open plan bathroom area coming through the sky lights #perfect

After some time with the girls I wandered over to see how Luke was getting on and spend some time with the guys, button holes check!
Never wanting to miss any moments and always looking for shots while creating lots of fun & energy I went back to see Amanda getting her make up finished off from Nicola (who I have met at a previous wedding and she is amazing) then a quick exit whilst Amanda got her absolutely stunning dress on to be let back in to see it getting zipped up, just a few more shots before I headed over to the ceremony room (loved the sparkly backdrop from Laurie at Bijou) and waited for the girls to walk over getting a few shots before settling at the front to capture the ceremony action.

When the ceremony had finished we headed out into the gorgeous well kept grounds for pics but seeing no clouds and literally no shade I advised we shoot more shots after the reception so we just enjoyed some time out and apart from some confetti (confetti canon) and group shots it was more relaxed.

In the eve after the reception I encouraged everybody back outside and the light was so much better (it really is about seeing the good light and not just taking the shot regardless of the situation, after all your pics are for life and we do everything we can to make the day enjoyable and choosing the best light and backdrop) plus then I spent some time with Amanda & Luke all around the fab grounds plus down just outside the grounds and using the field next door and even the road side)

Amanda & Luke were absolute stars ALL DAY and this shows in the pictures (luke even had some ideas of his own) I always say at the start of the day dont worry about anything and really just enjoy every single minute of your special day and I really think thats what everybody did at this wedding, lots of banter, fun & laugher all day!

Woodlands Leeds Engagement Photography - Leeds Wedding Photographer

Yesterday in the gorgeous sunshine I met up with another smiley fun loving couple at Woodlands in Leeds (just on Geldard Road) and as I have shot a few weddings here previously I know how fab the grounds are for pictures.

Sophie & Tom were chilling out in sat on the wooden garden furniture overlooking the grounds when I arrived, a quick chat first too as I think they were a little nervous (no need to be) before we wandered around the gardens to get some nice relaxed shots of this cute couple.

After some time in the gorgeous light we sat back down to go through wedding info with any particular group shots they had in mind plus any ideas (we love ideas)
