Holdsworth House Wedding Photography I Kath & Mick

Well what a day yesterday with Kath & Mick at Holdsworth House despite the rather wet weather, it defo was non stop fun all day long so before we start I must say a MASSIVE shout to all the guests and friends and family that attended yesterdays wedding.

I started at Kath's house literally a few doors away from Holdsworth House (there was no excuse for her to be late) and Jenna (our 2nd photographer) was hanging out with Mick and the guys and getting treated to a lift in the car to Holdsworth House from Paul at Westfield Cars whilst I captured shots of all the girls getting ready at Kath's.

The weather like I mentioned was defo a wet day but you know us we don't let anything spoil the fun (weddings should be fun and NOT boring). Jordan was on Video duty too and after some time with the girls and Smudge the cat we made our way down the road to Holdsworth House to check in with Jenna and wait for the Bride's arrival (helped out the car by Tracey from Holdsworth House and Paul from Westfield Cars on brolly duty)

The room where the ceremony was held looked absolutely gorgeous with the LOVE letters and the twinkling lights on the floor, and I also must say a BIG HUGE shout to the registrars who (unlike one at last weekends 2 weddings) didn't mention anything about not shooting the signatures (when they actually sign) as a natural and more journalistic wedding photographer I always think the natural moments are the best.

After the ceremony I encouraged some celebrations as everyone made their way outside (the rain was holding off thank god) for a confetti shot.
As we were already outside I just tried to keep everyone there and set about creating as many groups, fun shots, couple shots etc as possible (must say not one guest moaned once at all about being outside, Kath and Mick you have fab friends)

The reception meal was looked forward to by everyone and as the speeches were after the meal me, Jordan and Jenna had some time to review the shots in the chilled out bar area.

After the meal Kath & Mick went to have some time to freshen up (#rollercoaster #dontmentionit) and came down and said right were ready (how refreshing is that, not once did I have to constantly nag them to get some shots they were little stars all day and also Kath didn't moan once about her dress getting dirty or damp (you only wear the dress one day so just rock it and enjoy every single minute)

At the pre shoot I did discuss a dance off in the eve and Kath & Mick both agreed that would be a fab idea so I organised a Nutty Boys Dance Off to the likes of Madness and The Specials (love a bit of Two Tone)

Below we have some totally randomly selected images from Kath & Mick's EPIC wedding day below so hope you enjoy guys

Bagden Hall Wedding Photographer I Leeza & Steve

The 2nd of last weekends double weddings with Leeza & Steve on Sunday at Bagden Hall. I initially only met Leeza & Steve a few weeks ago at Bagden Hall when they met us for a chat and luckily we had had a cancellation for their wedding day so they secured us there and then to be a part of their fun wedding. We literally only had the pre shoot a few weeks ago too and after some time with them I knew the wedding day was going to include lots of fun and banter (my kind of wedding)

I started early morning at Phillips Hair Salon in Ossett and the weather was a little damp you could say but i knew it was looking good for later on so hoping we got some time outside in the stunning grounds at Bagden Hall with Leeza & Steve and all the family and friends.

The ceremony was inside the main room at Bagden Hall and I really did value all the natural light coming in through the large windows which defo makes it a lot easier as a mainly natural light shooter.

After the ceremony I did manage to get all the wedding party outside for some 'rock star' champagne popping group shots plus a few couple shots before it started to rain rather hard so everyone rushed back inside, I just had to keep watching for the weather to stop raining really and when it did I encouraged some more family shots outside in the natural light and fab grounds plus they had a bouncy castle so who can resist that!

As the time came for everyone to enjoy the reception and speeches inside, after I had caught some shots of the speeches I had some time out in the bar area and got treated to a full 3 course meal #niceone whilst I reviewed the shots from earlier in the day

After the meal the weather was definitely looking better and I had some time with Leeza & Steve around the grounds of Bagden Hall, the eve light was gorgeous but I never want to turn this too much into a photoshoot so just try to make it fun and capture some more natural moments.

Defo a fab, fun filled day with Leeza & Steve at Bagden Hall and thanks so much for inviting me and letting me share your special day guys!

Below are some randomly selected images from Leeza & Steve's previews HERE

The Huntsman Holmfirth Wedding Photography I Sam & Ben

Well after we actually had our very own wedding reception at The Huntsman over 30 years ago (where has that gone) I was back there last Friday for Sam & Bens fun wedding day.

I started  early morning at The Huntsman and checked in with all the girls getting ready in the newly refurbished rooms overlooking Saddleworth Moor.

Ben was due to arrive around midday and he defo looked a little nervous as I bobbed down to see him arrive looking super smart in his suit as he checked out the reception room where the ceremony was to be held.

You really do get great views at The Huntsman in Holmfirth and I was really looking forward to some Bride & Groom time later on as I knew the weather was going to be good ALL DAY!

After the ceremony I encouraged all the wedding party outside to enjoy the garden area whilst they brought out tasty treats (managed to sneak a few) to keep everyone happy until the wedding breakfast.

Massive thanks to the main man running the wedding for sorting me out with some stepladders for the group shot and I always like to use the time before the reception to capture as many family, couple, fun and general wedding shots as poss.

Speeches were before the meal to get them out of the way and I was getting treated to a full meal so headed to the bar area to have some time out and review some shots from earlier in the day

Later in the eve I spent some time with Sam & Ben around the grounds of The Huntsman plus just outside on the road area (love the views) before it was time for first dance, cake cutting and general dance floor madness!

As I left Ben did say thanks so much for making us do stuff we wouldn't have ever done and taking us out of our comfort zone, I really think they did enjoy the wedding day as I know I defo did!

I really do try at every single wedding to make it as natural and fun as possible with minimal fuss when it comes to family shots etc, I want this time to be enjoyable.

Below are some shots from last nights fun with Janine & Adam (loving the funky denim jackets on Janine & Matilda)

Creative & Fun Wedding Photography I Amanda & Marc

You know in life when you meet people and you just hit it off? Well thats what happened when I met Amanda & Marc at their home in Doncaster as they had got in touch and wanted to discuss their upcoming wedding plans. I actually forgot what I was there for 😂 as we talked about everything and mostly the 80's (love the 80's)

After showing them a few bits and bobs we offer from albums to signing boards etc they decided they wanted me to be a part of their wedding day 😀

Well last Saturday their wedding day arrived and I started early at Wentbridge House getting shots of Amanda and the girls getting ready up in one of the gorgeous rooms overlooking the nicely cut and striped lawn.

Marc was also staying at Wentbridge so it was nice to find him hanging out trying to not look too nervous and get a few shots whilst Amanda got her dress on. I always love to catch the dress getting laced up too so bobbed back upstairs and I must say the whole getting ready process was so chilled and there was not one bit of running around like crazy trying to get everything done! #wellorganised

The ceremony was held inside the beautiful Chrystal Suite and there was lots of natural light streaming in through the huge patio doors which really does make it a lot easier as I am more of a natural light kinda guy!

After the ceremony I always encourage everyone onto the grounds and the weather was absolutely PERFECT! If I could order weather on a wedding day it would be this! No harsh sun, perfect temperature, loads of cloud etc

What was also really good Amanda & Marc had allowed enough time for pictures after asking me how long I recommend, I always would recommend 2 hours for photos, the time goes far too quick even then! The more time you give us and more you want to do the more shots you get 👊

I never like to jump straight into family shots so after so interaction and couple shots I set about trying to get as many groups, family and fun shots whilst really trying to keep it a more natural vibe with a fun twist! #welovethebanter

Speeches were after the reception meal and I had some time with Amanda & Marc in the eve light as the main room got turned around for the night guests!

Fab wedding, fab couple, fab friends and family! Can we do it all again?

Gomersal Park Hotel Wedding Photography I Amy & Daniel

A few weeks ago we were back at Gomersal Park Hotel for Amy & Daniel's wedding day fun and celebrations.

I started early morning capturing all the getting ready vibes, make up and hair in one of the rooms upstairs whilst also keeping a look out for Daniel to arrive so I could get some shots of the guys trying to not look too nervous whilst they all headed to the bar area 😉

The weather was super sunny 🌞 so really a nice spring/summer vibe going on (just got to watch for dodgy shadows and squinty eyes and always looking for the best light, luckily I found some shade down at the bottom of the grounds later on for group shots)

The ceremony was upstairs in a room where the reception was to be held with lots of lovely natural light coming in through the big windows, after the ceremony and some meet and greet shots outside in the corridor whilst everyone grabbed a drink I encouraged them all down to the bottom of the gardens (as I knew this would be the best place due to the harsh sun and no clouds for family pics)

After having spent some time and getting as many family, couple, fun, B&G shots as possible or until we were due back in the room to enjoy the reception meal and to listen to the speeches (best mans speech was great)

When the reception had finished and so the hotel staff can turn the room around everyone was encouraged downstairs in the bar area or as it was such a nice evening outside on the patio type area, I also used this time as there was some super golden eve light to spend some time with Amy & Daniel amongst the grounds at Gomersal Park Hotel

In the eve Mrs Image-i-Nation bobbed over to help with our super wide Photobooth backdrop which we set up in the conservatory type area just opposite the room where they were having the evening reception (which worked really well as quite a few folk due to the warm weather were chilling outside and had to come through the conservatory to get to main room)

Bagden Hall Wedding Photographer I Leeza & Steven

Mega fun with Leeza & Steven at their Pre Wedding shoot the other night around the stunning grounds of Bagden Hall. The light really was great again and even on the way home after a busy day of property shoots too I managed to sneak a few sunset shots around the Emley and Castle Hill area (see the last few pics)

We only initially met Leeza & Steven a few weeks ago when they booked us for their fun wedding day stating they weren't keen on too many formal shots and really wanted the day to be more FUN (our kind of couple)

We did some relaxed shots around the gardens first before chilling out just outside the main reception room whilst i showed the kids you couldn't fold a piece of paper more than 7 times (yes I am a bit random) fun times with fun people and below are some highlights from Leeza & Steves Pre Wedding shoot

Engagement Photography Wentbridge House I Katie & Phil

Yesterday eve in the super gorgeous golden hour light I met up with Katie & Phil at Wentbridge House to go through some wedding info for their upcoming special day and also to get some nice relaxed shots in the stunning grounds (which looked amazing btw with the stripes on the lawn)

I always like to make it very relaxed and fun as we get to know each other a little bit better, this was the first time I had actually met them too as they booked on email but have to say Katie & Phil were absolute legends (they did say there weren't as posy or didn't normally like having their photo taken so hopefully they had as much fun as me)

Below we have some highlights from yesterdays fun pre shoot
