Lifestyle/Family Photography at Cannon Hall Yorkshire - Laura & Roger

I met up yesterday with one of our awesome couples that we shot their wedding way back in 2011 (where does the time go guys) and they booked us for a family/lifestyle shoot and we chose Cannon Hall as I had visited a few weeks earlier for a Halloween pumpkin carving day and thought it looked perfect with lots of places all around the grounds for nice, relaxed family pics.

The session started off with Cole falling over on the way down to meet me (I think he must have been drinking 😂) and this resulted in Laura digging deep into her bag for a plaster which instantly made his hand better (what didn't she have in the bag) check him out holding his poorly hand out in the first few pics, he soon forgot about it though.

We walked down towards Cannon Hall whilst we chatted and Roger dreamed of his man cave with relaxing, soothing music playing in the background (these guys are awesome and all 4 kids are such a credit to them, they really are model parents)

Down at Cannon Hall we spotted a table tennis table so defo had to get a few kinda games in and Cole & Freya were loving the table tennis I think one might be on their Santa list 😁

The weather and light really was perfect and I still had an Autumn vibe and lots of lovely colours all around the wooded area which really did make the best location for one of our lifestyle/family sessions.

Below we have some highlights from yesterdays fun outing with Laura & Roger and their 4 beautiful kids.

If you would like to book one of our lifestyle/family sessions we have a few real wood frames available (free when you book a session, limited stock now though)

Lesley & Andrew's Fun Wedding at Durker Roods Huddersfield - Huddersfield Wedding Photographer

Remember remember the 5th of November! On Sunday 5th November we were shooting the full wedding day at Durker Roods with Lesley & Andrew & all their awesome fun loving friends and family, plus I got to catch up with all the fab Durker Roods staff again.

I started the day bright and early at Durker Roods and what gorgeous weather it was too, the sun was shining, the sky was defo blue (though just a bit on the chilly side but like I kept telling everybody you can't tell in the pics so just imagine that your sipping cocktails on a tropical island sitting in the sun).

Lesley & her gorgeous girlies were getting ready in the salon upstairs inside Durker Roods so I just tried to blend in like you do 😂  capturing hair & make up by the ladies at Heavenly Hair & Make Up & Suze

I bobbed downstairs around mid day to see Andrew looking slightly nervous (he said he wasn't though) plus his best man reading his speech for the 100th time 😂
I just milled around the bar area capturing guests arriving plus some detail shots of the rooms all set up

The ceremony was at 1pm and after Chrissy (the friendly manager at Durker Roods) had ushered everybody into the ceremony room she went to get Lesley down, I always love capturing the Brides entrance before I head off into the ceremony room. A quick chat with the registrars before hand also to just clear up a few points that I WILL be shooting the actual moment when they sign the register and no text will be able to be viewed in focus (they were cool with this, why can't all registrars be the same) #answersonapostcard

After the ceremony I always like to let everybody interact with the Bride & Groom but as it was feeling chilly we jumped straight into confetti provided by 4 loud confetti bombs! Then round onto the grounds for some group shots (great asset having the fire escape to hand)

Lots of fun & laughter whilst capturing formals plus loads of fun shots before I took some time with the Bride & Groom in and around the beautiful gardens at Durker Roods

Shooting late into the evening and yes like we do we got that all important ' dance off ' this really does help to get some fab dance floor shots of people getting jiggy

Defoe stacks of fun with Lesley & Andrew at Durker Roods and below we have some highlights from Sundays wedding

Enjoy
