Ossett Brewery Commercial Photography

A few weeks ago in-between property shoots I nipped down to Ossett Brewery after being contacted by Leanne to get some new and updated shots for their web site.

It was really fascinating to see how it all worked and I have to say the place was spotlessly clean. Leanne showed me around and we all had to wear a mask due to new covid regulations, plus all the workers did too.

They have a place inside the brewery where customers can visit, try out all the different beers and look and purchase some of the items they have for sale, though with new regulations (hope we get back to normal asap) this wasn't allowed 😞

It really was a fab experience and I enjoyed getting a tour of the brewery, below are just a handful of pics

Enjoy

Natural Family Lifestyle Photography in Wakefield

Sorry for the lack of BLOG posts guys but due to COVID I am not shooting any weddings but hopefully will be back to fun weddings soon as they are allowed, keeping me super busy though is our Property Photography we added over a few years ago now (love it), check out the new web site and BLOG

One thing I did before the 2nd lockdown was hook up with a gorgeous family I met a few years back now and after Nicola & Jon had little Jack about 2 years ago they have asked me to shoot some natural and fun pictures of them and him as he grows, I always love hanging out with fun couples and pictures are memories for ever so it really is great to capture Jack as he grows up

Anyone who knows me will know I love the Autumn vibe too all all the colours so after Nicola & Jon suggested this location and I saw it I was thoroughly pleased (though I did put a 2nd pair of shoes in the car as they got caked in mud)

We met the odd cute dog on route too and said hi to all the walkers, some stopping for a picnic to which Jack was a bit jealous he didn't have anything to eat 😂

Below are just a quick handful from over 600 plus shot using one camera and one 70-200 lens (keeping things super simple)

Enjoy

Pre Wedding Shoot at Woodlands Leeds

Yesterday I met up with the fun loving Olivia & Dan at Woodlands Hotel in Leeds and we had the whole venue to ourselves as they were still closed due to lockdown and covid rules (such a shame) though I must say it was absolutely fab to have the whole grounds to ourselves, they looked amazing too (we had actually arranged the shoot beforehand)

Olivia & Dan were a little nervous at the start as they mentioned to me but as always I like to chat about anything and everything before jumping straight into shooting as I always feel this gives them a time to take a breath and relax more before we just literally walk around the gardens, looking for that good light, me just giving some direction and lots of ideas, I always find that I just see something there and then even the smallest thing that maybe the couple do and I will turn it into a pose, always got to love props too and there was a few yesterday :-)

Massive shout to Olivia & Dan for being superstars and really getting into the day and enjoying theirselves, after all thats a huge part of why I do what I do!

Some highlights below from a fab afternoon at Woodlands Hotel with Olivia & Dan (hope you managed to find Grease 2)

To Have And To Hold Bridal Mirfield

Due to the fact no weddings have been allowed since March (boohoo) and no idea when they will start again we have been building up our Property Photography. It was really nice though in-between property jobs to bob down to Clare's at To Have And To Hold to hang out for a bit and get some new images of her beautiful bridal dresses for her web site

As I have also introduced 360 Virtual Tours to our Property Photography I also did a Virtual Tour of the inside of her business so you can literally walk around the shop virtually! How cool is that?

Below are just a few images from the day

Enjoy

P.s hopefully be back to weddings soon!

Castle Hill Family Shoot I Courtney & James

Earlier today I met up with Courtney & James at Castle Hill for what was supposed to be a pre wedding shoot but due to the current situation with COVID19 we decided it would be a family shoot as the wedding is highly doubtful to be on the due date.

I always love to encourage a more natural and fun vibe and we wandered around Castle Hill with the beautiful weather too and in some parts where the sun was on it felt quite warm.
We stopped for a while and as if by magic Courtneys mum whipped out a flask and chocky biscuits so we all had a brew and a natter and tried to keep Brandy (their super cute 2 year old german shepherd from attacking any of the other dogs up there)

Lovely family and great to meet up again, hopefully we get a new wedding date soon.

Below are some highlights from earlier with Courtney & James up Castle Hill

Hirst Priory Wedding Photographer I Hollie & Steven

A few weeks ago on the 29th Feb I was at a brand new wedding venue Hirst Priory based in Crowle Lincolnshire and what a stunning venue it was too, wow I really hope to be back here one day!

The weather well what can I say? The wedding was supposed to be outside in the woodland area but as you might be aware I think the whole of Feb was just one big downpour so the ceremony was moved inside the main reception room before they turned it around for the wedding breakfast, lovely room with lots of natural light coming through the large windows too.

For most of the day the rain held off and the sun did come out but if defo had a cold chill in the air. Inside Hirst Priory is absolutely stunning and the staff were so friendly (thanks guys) I really do hope we get chance to go back especially in our fav time to shoot weddings around Autumn especially if its outside too 😍

Massive thanks to Hollie & Steven too for sorting me out with an actual place on one of the tables where I got to chat with some of the guests as I got the full 3 course meal, how nice is that!

Defo a fab venue and thanks again for letting us share your special wedding day and loved the fireworks in the eve

Hazelwood Castle Pre Wedding I Louise & John

Earlier today in the super gorgeous light and blue sky I hooked up with Louise & John at the FAB Hazelwood Castle (nice to be back here again) to get some relaxed shots and to go through any info for the upcoming wedding day like times and family shots.

I could tell they were both a little nervous at the start but at the end of the time they both said they really enjoyed it which is always a good thing as I told them its more about us getting a connection and spending some time together a few weeks or so before the actual wedding day so they feel loads more relaxed on the actual day and enjoy it soooooo much more.

All i do i use a 70-200 2.8 lens (then went round after for some location shots) which gets the best look we prefer for portrait shots (favour this lens as well at weddings for small group shots to get a nice bokeh background), just chatting and stopping at various spots to have fun and get some shots, so much more relaxed than stiff and boring!

At the end of some time outside we sat down on the comfiest chairs ever to go through wedding info and get some ideas for family pics etc

Wentbridge House Wedding Photographer I Jessica & Matthew

The first wedding of 2020 and on a Sunday was at one of the fav venues in the West Yorkshire area Wentbridge House. I arrived early morning and was met with the news that Storm Ciara was in full effect this day (great :-/). I started with all the girls getting ready in one of the rooms overlooking the grounds and did notice Wentbridge had done lots of upgrades to the room and lots of new stuff (nice one guys).

When Matthew arrived I headed downstairs to spend some time with him and the guys hanging out in the Brasserie before they set off to the church, I did see the rain was literally bouncing down outside and really was praying I just got some time outside with everyone after church and also when we arrived back at Wentbridge House.

The church service was great and the vicar was super friendly (perfect), after the service and as we came outside the sun was shining (my prayers were answered) which really did just give everyone such a great feeling as I captured some stuff using the double church doors as a nice background before heading back to Wentbridge House to carry on the fun.

When everyone arrived back at Wentbridge House and as the sun was still with us I encouraged them all to stay outside (thats the hardest bit) so I could capture lots of couple shots and family stuff before I got some time with Jess & Matt before they all went in to get seated for the wedding breakfast and speeches

Massive shot to Danny for bobbing over to assist with the super wide photobooth backdrop which we set up later in the eve (we get awesome results with this)

Fab day and stacks of fun despite the weather

Wentbridge House Wedding Photographer I Rebekah & Luke

Last November we were back at one of our fav wedding venues in West Yorkshire 'Wentbridge House', and it always feels like coming home to shoot here and as a highly recommended wedding supplier to Wentbridge House we are really familiar with lots of awesome places in and out of the grounds for some great images.

I started early morning with all the girls getting ready (jordan was on video duties and I had danny coming later for 2nd shooting duties). The weather was looking good too and we got some really fab light throughout the day and later in the eve for some creative lighting shots.

The ceremony was inside the Leatham Suite and its always great to have a 2nd shooter as it really does allow us to capture more of the wedding day story (thanks danny)

After the ceremony (as ever) I always encourage everyone outside to get as many family, couple, fun, quirky shots as poss in the time allowed before everyone gets the nod that the wedding breakfast is ready and they can relax in the air conditioned Chrystal Suite.

I always love listening and capturing the speeches and absolutely loved these guys we had so much fun and banter all day i didn't want it to end.

As the main room was getting turned around for the eve we set our super wide photobooth backdrop up inside the Leatham Suite to carry on the fun and craziness (love our photobooth its so much fun as everyone can see each being crazy as opposed to going in a small booth type and closing a curtain, we can get group shots of over 10 people)

Woodlands Hotel Leeds Wedding I Cheryl & Paul

At the start of November last year I was back at Woodlands Hotel in Leeds for Cheryl & Paul's Rock and Roll wedding (literally the day after I went down to Sheffield City Hall to see Adam Ant (how awesome was that, click HERE to view some highlights)

I started early morning at he hair salon where Cheryl & her crazy girls were getting ready before heading back to one of the bridesmaids houses to finish off and get dressed, I absolutely loved Cheryl's alternative and individual style and her custom made doc martens were just FAB

As the girls had finished off getting ready I set off to Woodlands to park up and wait for the arrival of the bride and bridesmaids whilst also checking in on Paul. The weather was just gorgeous too (after the wettest wedding ever a few weeks ago at the same venue)
The ceremony was in the same room as a few weeks ago and I love all the natural light that comes in through the big windows, great registrar too (same as the other week) really fun and engaging!

After the ceremony as the weather was spot on I encouraged everyone to stay outside so I could shoot as many formals, families, couples etc etc. Absolutely loved the banter with this lot and they made the wedding day just bloody awesome it was so much fun so thanks guys.

I spent some time with Cheryl & Paul before the reception to get some B&G shots in the bag as I knew the light would be going soon.

Just a fab day and dancing till late in the eve HUGE thanks to everyone for making it super special

Below are some randomly selected highlights from Cheryl & Paul's FAB day

Woodlands Wedding Photographer I Emma & Iain

Towards the back end of October last year I was at Woodlands (fab venue) in Leeds for Emma & Iain's wedding, the weather though really wasn't on our side ALL day as it rained the whole day from start to finish 😟

I started early morning with some getting ready shots of the girls upstairs in one of the
gorgeous bedrooms of Woodlands and there was plenty of room to move around which is always a good thing 😁 before heading downstairs to wait for Emma and her Bridesmaids, Iain was waiting patiently inside the ceremony room and didn't look too nervous honest!

The ceremony room at Woodlands is great too as there is lots of natural light coming in through the windows. The registrar I have to say was very fun and he made the whole thing a lot more enjoyable than some registrars we have met.

After the ceremony and seen as through the rain was literally bouncing off the floor outside I suggested we use the ceremony room (after the chairs had been put away) to get some family pics, there was no chance of getting the whole wedding party outside in the rain but I was defo thinking about some creative backlit rain shots later on 😀

The reception was in the marquee area and this is such a big space too so lots of room to move around and as the rain hit the roof it just felt really cosy too

After the reception meal and speeches I spent some time with Emma & Iain around the hotel plus a few risking it outside in the pouring rain and then dancing till the late hours

Defo an awesome fun wedding despite the worse weather in 2019! Huge thanks to everyone for the banter we love you and also the fab friendly team at Woodlands for being so helpful and doing everything with a smile

Below are some randomly selected highlights from the full set of previews (we even got a picture with the Bride & Groom at the end of the night)

Pre Wedding at Hirst Priory I Hollie & Steven

Earlier today I met up with Hollie & Steven at the gorgeous Hirst Priory to go through wedding info and also get some nice relaxed shots of them as we got to know each other a little better, they had also brought their kids along too (the more the merrier)

We all just explored the grounds of this fab (new venue for us) wedding venue and I have to say it looked awesome and the venue is exclusive in all wedding packages so basically everyone that is there will be attending the wedding with no extra to pay for exclusivity unlike some other venues.

Hazell that was running the venue today I have to say was super friendly and very obliging so huge thanks to her for that, I am really looking forward to the wedding and Hollie & Steven have ordered me a full meal (bonus)

Below are some highlights from some fun with Hollie & Steven earlier today

Wedding Photographer Yorkshire I Jade & Danny

I love AUTUMN weddings and back last October I was rocking Jade & Danny's wedding at Forest Pines in Scunthorpe (love the name) and everyone at the venue really was dead friendly so huge thanks to them for that.

I started at Jades parents house (awesome parents and so much fun love them) in sunny Doncaster for some getting ready shots (the weather was absolutely spot on too) so I defo made use of the front garden for a few pics 😀 (i think dad had cut the grass ready)

After everyone was ready plus a few shots outside on the front garden I set off to Forest Pines to wait for the gorgeous and fun loving bride to arrive and also checked in with Danny and the guys waiting patiently inside the ceremony room.

Theres was lots of space inside the ceremony room plus lovely natural light coming through the big windows and Jade & Danny also had a lovely flower wall which made a great backdrop for when they were signing the register rather than the exit signs above (hate them)

After the ceremony I encouraged everyone outside to the garden area and as always used this time to get as many family, couples and bridal type pics as poss, I was going to go on the golf course later with Jade & Danny so wasn't too worried about many shots of them at this point.

The reception was inside the same area as the ceremony (just the other side and it all opened up in the eve for the biggest room I have ever seen)
I had my very own place set on one of the table and I was getting the full meal (really appreciate that guys, always nice to get fed on a full day wedding)

When the reception was over I got the lady (who worked there) from Forest Pines and she had 2 golf buggies all ready for us to head off to the golf course to get some bride & groom pictures, she was driving me and Jade & Danny took it in turns to drive their golf cart, we got some fab pictures on the golf course and also a huge thanks to the lady for holding some of our lights.

Awesome day/eve plus we all got treated to Elvis turning up and doing a set (so good, who doesn't like Elvis)

Here are just some highlights that are totally randomly selected from Jade & Danny's full wedding day jpegs

Paris I France I Street Photography with Panasonic TZ100

I have always wanted to visit Paris and after Xmas we had booked a few days off and yes finally going to Paris so I thought it would defo be a fab opportunity to get some street photography with the Panasonic TZ100 (shooting in raw of course) and just capture some memories along the way

When I arrived I had actually no idea where to go, what road lead to where etc (thank good for google maps) and after a day was familiar with the route to The Eiffel Tower where it was pretty busy to say the least (it was new years eve in a few days though)

Apparently Paris is the worlds most visited city for tourism (i read that in the plane brochure) and have to say in a few days it was everything and more as I expected, the place is gorgeous, stacks of stuff to see and do plus (most) of the locals were friendly.

Paris you were awesome and I will defo be back

Below are some randomly selected images from the Panasonic TZ100 I used to shoot handheld on
