Woodlands Hotel Leeds Wedding I Cheryl & Paul

At the start of November last year I was back at Woodlands Hotel in Leeds for Cheryl & Paul's Rock and Roll wedding (literally the day after I went down to Sheffield City Hall to see Adam Ant (how awesome was that, click HERE to view some highlights)

I started early morning at he hair salon where Cheryl & her crazy girls were getting ready before heading back to one of the bridesmaids houses to finish off and get dressed, I absolutely loved Cheryl's alternative and individual style and her custom made doc martens were just FAB

As the girls had finished off getting ready I set off to Woodlands to park up and wait for the arrival of the bride and bridesmaids whilst also checking in on Paul. The weather was just gorgeous too (after the wettest wedding ever a few weeks ago at the same venue)
The ceremony was in the same room as a few weeks ago and I love all the natural light that comes in through the big windows, great registrar too (same as the other week) really fun and engaging!

After the ceremony as the weather was spot on I encouraged everyone to stay outside so I could shoot as many formals, families, couples etc etc. Absolutely loved the banter with this lot and they made the wedding day just bloody awesome it was so much fun so thanks guys.

I spent some time with Cheryl & Paul before the reception to get some B&G shots in the bag as I knew the light would be going soon.

Just a fab day and dancing till late in the eve HUGE thanks to everyone for making it super special

Below are some randomly selected highlights from Cheryl & Paul's FAB day

Enjoy

Woodlands Wedding Photographer I Emma & Iain

Towards the back end of October last year I was at Woodlands (fab venue) in Leeds for Emma & Iain's wedding, the weather though really wasn't on our side ALL day as it rained the whole day from start to finish 😟

I started early morning with some getting ready shots of the girls upstairs in one of the
gorgeous bedrooms of Woodlands and there was plenty of room to move around which is always a good thing 😁 before heading downstairs to wait for Emma and her Bridesmaids, Iain was waiting patiently inside the ceremony room and didn't look too nervous honest!

The ceremony room at Woodlands is great too as there is lots of natural light coming in through the windows. The registrar I have to say was very fun and he made the whole thing a lot more enjoyable than some registrars we have met.

After the ceremony and seen as through the rain was literally bouncing off the floor outside I suggested we use the ceremony room (after the chairs had been put away) to get some family pics, there was no chance of getting the whole wedding party outside in the rain but I was defo thinking about some creative backlit rain shots later on 😀

The reception was in the marquee area and this is such a big space too so lots of room to move around and as the rain hit the roof it just felt really cosy too

After the reception meal and speeches I spent some time with Emma & Iain around the hotel plus a few risking it outside in the pouring rain and then dancing till the late hours

Defo an awesome fun wedding despite the worse weather in 2019! Huge thanks to everyone for the banter we love you and also the fab friendly team at Woodlands for being so helpful and doing everything with a smile

Below are some randomly selected highlights from the full set of previews (we even got a picture with the Bride & Groom at the end of the night)

Pre Wedding at Hirst Priory I Hollie & Steven

Earlier today I met up with Hollie & Steven at the gorgeous Hirst Priory to go through wedding info and also get some nice relaxed shots of them as we got to know each other a little better, they had also brought their kids along too (the more the merrier)

We all just explored the grounds of this fab (new venue for us) wedding venue and I have to say it looked awesome and the venue is exclusive in all wedding packages so basically everyone that is there will be attending the wedding with no extra to pay for exclusivity unlike some other venues.

Hazell that was running the venue today I have to say was super friendly and very obliging so huge thanks to her for that, I am really looking forward to the wedding and Hollie & Steven have ordered me a full meal (bonus)

Below are some highlights from some fun with Hollie & Steven earlier today

Wedding Photographer Yorkshire I Jade & Danny

I love AUTUMN weddings and back last October I was rocking Jade & Danny's wedding at Forest Pines in Scunthorpe (love the name) and everyone at the venue really was dead friendly so huge thanks to them for that.

I started at Jades parents house (awesome parents and so much fun love them) in sunny Doncaster for some getting ready shots (the weather was absolutely spot on too) so I defo made use of the front garden for a few pics 😀 (i think dad had cut the grass ready)

After everyone was ready plus a few shots outside on the front garden I set off to Forest Pines to wait for the gorgeous and fun loving bride to arrive and also checked in with Danny and the guys waiting patiently inside the ceremony room.

Theres was lots of space inside the ceremony room plus lovely natural light coming through the big windows and Jade & Danny also had a lovely flower wall which made a great backdrop for when they were signing the register rather than the exit signs above (hate them)

After the ceremony I encouraged everyone outside to the garden area and as always used this time to get as many family, couples and bridal type pics as poss, I was going to go on the golf course later with Jade & Danny so wasn't too worried about many shots of them at this point.

The reception was inside the same area as the ceremony (just the other side and it all opened up in the eve for the biggest room I have ever seen)
I had my very own place set on one of the table and I was getting the full meal (really appreciate that guys, always nice to get fed on a full day wedding)

When the reception was over I got the lady (who worked there) from Forest Pines and she had 2 golf buggies all ready for us to head off to the golf course to get some bride & groom pictures, she was driving me and Jade & Danny took it in turns to drive their golf cart, we got some fab pictures on the golf course and also a huge thanks to the lady for holding some of our lights.

Awesome day/eve plus we all got treated to Elvis turning up and doing a set (so good, who doesn't like Elvis)

Here are just some highlights that are totally randomly selected from Jade & Danny's full wedding day jpegs

Paris I France I Street Photography with Panasonic TZ100

I have always wanted to visit Paris and after Xmas we had booked a few days off and yes finally going to Paris so I thought it would defo be a fab opportunity to get some street photography with the Panasonic TZ100 (shooting in raw of course) and just capture some memories along the way

When I arrived I had actually no idea where to go, what road lead to where etc (thank good for google maps) and after a day was familiar with the route to The Eiffel Tower where it was pretty busy to say the least (it was new years eve in a few days though)

Apparently Paris is the worlds most visited city for tourism (i read that in the plane brochure) and have to say in a few days it was everything and more as I expected, the place is gorgeous, stacks of stuff to see and do plus (most) of the locals were friendly.

Paris you were awesome and I will defo be back

Below are some randomly selected images from the Panasonic TZ100 I used to shoot handheld on
