Waterton Park Wedding Photographer I Charlotte & Owen

Back at the end of September in the gorgeous AUTUMN vibe I was back at Waterton Park for Charlotte & Owen's absolutely awesome and super FUN wedding day.
As I arrived It did look a bit wet but it soon cleared up just in time for the photos all around the really well kept gardens.

I started early morning with the girls getting ready in the cottage area just outside of the main gates with plenty of room to move around too, it was a right little cosy hideaway!

The ceremony was inside in the main ceremony (said ceremony twice then) room and the registrars were really friendly (they aren't always like that) so I could capture as much as I wanted with minimal restrictions (love shooting in a storybook styleeeee)

As I mentioned earlier the rain had eased off after the ceremony and the light and blue sky was just perfect and I always encourage as many pics as possible in this time plus love love love the banter (provided mainly by goldie mick)

Such a fab day/night and Mrs Image-I-Nation got an invite in the eve so it was really nice to see her and we stayed till near the end (did put the camera away at some point) and if you know me you will know we always encourage a dance off, as this really does get fab pics to finish the night off

Below are some randomly selected pics from Charlotte & Owen's epic and super fun wedding day at Waterton Park

Enjoy

Wentbridge House Wedding Photographer I Nat & Dan

Back in the middle of September we were at one of our fav wedding venues in the West Yorkshire area Wentbridge House, and as we are a highly recommended wedding photographer for them we really do love coming back here and have got to know lots of great places for just fab wedding pics all around the well kept gardens!

I started early morning with Natalie & all the girls getting ready upstairs in one of the rooms overlooking the gardens with a nice big bay window for maximum light.

The wedding ceremony was inside the Leatham Suite (next door to the main Chrystal Suite room) and this is defo one of the more nicer civil ceremony rooms we have shot in as there is lots of light coming through where it matters most (on the bride & groom).

After the wedding ceremony I always encourage everyone outside and especially if its a nice day (as this was with some of the most gorgeous light seen) to carry on the celebrations, fun and use this time to capture as many shots of couples, families, parents etc etc as poss (the main challenge for me at this time is to keep ALL the wedding party outside so they can hear if they are needed rather than running back inside to the bar (if its a nice day this is just made a lot easier trust me)

After some time with everyone plus some Bride & groom shots (was also going to get some after the reception in the gorgeous eve light) I was told the reception room was ready so headed in to get some shots before everyone would be seated to wait for the arrival of Natalie & Dan.

Absolutely FAB & lots of fun day and thanks to Natalie & Dan for letting us share it with them

Below are some randomly selected highlights from over 1500 (password protected) previews (we give you more choice)

Enjoy

Property Photographer Yorkshire I Professional Property Photography

Been super busy recently shooting properties all around the Yorkshire area plus we got to set up our mobile studio in the offices of Boultons in Huddersfield, Kirkburton & Pontefract to get some new updated head shots for their web site about us page, great to meet all the smiley staff at the Boultons offices too, they all really looked like they really enjoyed what they did.

We also met up with Craig Miller from Craig Miller Joinery & Building services as we have shot a few recent developments they have worked on Craig got back in touch and asked me to attend one they had spent quite a few months developing, omg when I got there the place was amazing and the owners couldn't have been anymore down to earth.

We absolutely love shooting properties all over the Yorkshire area plus of course our fun weddings 😁

We shoot properties with a mixture of ambient (natural) light combined with speed lights and some photoshop techniques, adding a blue sky when required

We use a Nikon D750 with 24 megapixels, a manfrotto tripod with a geared 3 way head plus a remote to fire the camera (so nothing moves to get the best depth and sharpness especially when shooting at iso 200 and a really slow shutter speed)

Below are some recent property images plus some of the head shots using our mobile studio set up from the offices at Boultons

Wentbridge House Wedding Photographer I Melissa & James

Absolutely fab and stacks of FUN last weekend for Melissa & James's wedding at Wentbridge House

I started early morning at Wentbridge for some getting ready shots before heading off to Badsworth Church (in badsworth 😂) to be greeted by the loveliest smiley vicar lady (why cant all vicars be like that) she said I was ok to get what I needed and as long as I wasn't 'in her face' everything was good! #legend

After the ceremony we got a few shots and confetti outside the church before heading over to Wentbridge House to carry on the fun and laughter plus my job is to get as many shots as poss in this time as at winter weddings I am always conscious of the light and the lack of it later on in the day, I always think the hardest bit is trying to prise people away from the bar area but a bit of banter and they all played ball!!! (got a few comments later on too from some of the guests saying how they thought I was great and got people to listen, nice one guys)

Massive shout to Melissa & James you were fab and made the day such fun!

Here are just a handful of images whilst we go through the (nearly) 2000 previews

Enjoy

P.s massive shout to Olivia & Dan for today confirming booking their wedding with us in May 2021 at the fab Woodlands Leeds

P.p.s sorry for the lack of blog posts we have quite a few weddings to put on here we have been super busy shooting property photography as we recently introduced this to our business and really enjoying it!

Property Photographer Yorkshire

We are absolutely loving shooting property all around the Yorkshire regions and we get to visit some stunning properties and meet some lovely couples! We introduced property photography alongside our weddings at the start of 2019 and really do enjoy arranging and then shooting the properties and always looking for the best angles.

We think think with property photography you are either a lights on or lights off kinda shooter and we really think putting any lights thats are available turned on just makes everything look so much nicer giving the space a lovely homely feel!

Below are just some of the gorgeous places we have shot through November so far, we are getting orders everyday now 😀

New Miller Dam looked amazing (i think its now one of our fav places) with all the autumn leaves and really does make a fab place for a photo session

Family Autumn Lifestyle Photography Pontefract

Last Sunday I met up with a fun family for one of our autumn lifestyle shoots, we had also decided we would use the parents house as they had such a gorgeous autumn looking garden area

After a quick chat with everyone (and the dad, I made him get changed and join in, I think he was going to do some gardening haha) I just chatted to everyone whilst we set up some shots of the families, kids and baby. I really do love Autumn and its defo the fav season for weddings and lifestyle shoots. Lynsey and her family also had the cutest dog and he loved getting in the pictures too 😂

Adam Ant I Friend or Foe Tour 2019 I Sheffield

Epic is not the word last week we were in Sheffield at the City Hall for Adam Ant's Friend or Foe tour (literally got tickets the second they were announced) and looked forward to it for ages, Adam Ant (anybody that knows me) has played a massive part in my life and I bloody LOVE Adam and the Ants and any opportunity I get to see the Im there!

The set was opened by The Glam Skanks (who have supported Adam at previous tours) and I have to say I really thought they were fantastic and such energy and connection with each other and the audience!

As it was the Friend or Foe tour Adam came on around 9pm and everybody went mad, kicking off with (of course) Friend or Foe and playing all the tracks on the Friend or Foe album in order then some absolute classic ANT tracks, such a fANTastic night and until next time!

K x

P.S if by some miracle Adam actually gets to see this I really hope he likes some pics plus just wanna say a massive thanks to ADAM for being such a massive inspiration in my life over the last 40 years, if one day I ever got to meet him well that would be the best thing ever! Huge shout out to all the band too, Will, Jola, Joe, Andy & AP Leach

Wedding Photographer Yorkshire I Katie & Chris

A few months ago I was back at Mount Pleasant in Doncaster for Katie & Chris's wedding and the ceremony was outside in a lovely area set up at Mount Pleasant.

I started early morning with all the girls getting ready at Mount Pleasant in Doncaster and as Chris was arriving later also I got to spend some time outside with him and some of the guests as Chris tried to not look too nervous 😂. The weather really was perfect too and lots of banter and smiley faces just made this wedding so much better, plus if you check the randomly selected images below you will see we got an epic sunset (which by chance I saw as I went back to the car for something and then literally ran back inside and got Katie & Chris back out in the field opposite Mount Pleasant)

I always love wedding ceremony's outside as its so much easier to 'round up' the guests after for pics plus lots of natural light for the ceremony.

Mount Pleasant has fab grounds at the rear also which really does give a good space for pics after the ceremony, kinda like a wooded area which in Autumn (fav season) looks even better!

Below are some randomly selected images from the previews

Heritage Yorkshire I Property Photographer Huddersfield

The other day we had a message on our PROPERTY facebook page asking if we could get some new updated shots for some of the apartments at Heritage Yorkshire where they have lots going on including a gym plus a coffee shop for chilling out and having meetings etc

We arranged the shoot for yesterday (which did turn out to be a rubbish day weather wise but as all the shots were inside it didn't matter too much)

I arrived in the morning (just had a property in Ossett first thing for Reeds Rains so set off straight after), I met with Danielle and the girls behind reception at Heritage Yorkshire and they all really did look super smiley. Danielle showed me around and explained some ideas what they were after and then left me to it!

So tripod, camera and some lights I set off up in the lift and it was nice to be left to my own devices as such so I could spend time getting lots of varying angles of the rooms, mixing ambient light and speedlights

Below are some highlights from yesterday at the gorgeous Heritage Yorkshire

Property Photographer Yorkshire I West Yorkshire Property Photography

Over the last months we have been super busy with Property Photography (as well as awesome weddings) all over the Yorkshire areas and totally love it, we introduced Property Photography at the start of 2019 and as always constantly learning ways to improve our technique. We are now using a mixture of ambient (natural light) plus the introduction of a few speed lights to enhance the window view.

Its great meeting and also briefly getting to know the owners as we shoot around the property plus after some we take measurements using the latest Leica Laser Measure (disco 2) and transfer the information to Adobe Sketch on the iPad using an Apple Pencil

We also are now the preferred photographer for a number of estate agencies are getting requests on our facebook page and web site on a weekly basis (look below at some recent images)

Take a look at some recent properties across the Yorkshire area we have had the pleasure to shoot....

If you are selling your property or work or own an estate agent we can stress enough how using professional property images will make you stand out plus the property will get people through the door and the property will sell so much quicker

English Wedding Awards 2019

Wow we have just been informed we are nominated in the 2019 English Wedding Awards for Wedding Photographer of the Year 2019 (yorkshire), massive thanks to everyone who put our name forward we really do appreciate it with our little family run business!

We started shooting weddings around 2006 and have constantly been learning and now have a clear style with our Creative, Fun & Natural Wedding Photography.

We much prefer to capture a full day wedding in a more natural and fun style rather than hours of long and boring shots like back in the 80's (we remember our own wedding 30 years ago). Yes of course we shoot group pics and lots of couples, families etc and as we always include a pre wedding shoot in every package after some time getting to know each other better (you will feel better at the wedding I promise if you do one of our pre wedding shoots, plus you will enjoy it I am sure). After some time out getting some relaxed shots we will sit down to go through any ideas, family pics etc you have, plus also getting some times down of the order of the day.

For the English Wedding Awards we have to have some supporting evidence to go with our nominations as to why we think we should win?

https://www.facebook.com/pg/ImageiNationPhotography/reviews/

If you click the link above you will be taken to the reviews section on our facebook page where you can see some reviews what our fab, fun couples say about us plus some recent screenshots below.

Our style of Wedding Photography is not for everyone (some couples maybe want a more traditional style) but we guarantee if you book us we give 110% and you will enjoy your wedding day and have fun with your wedding guests, we shoot a full day as standard and try to not miss any moments by always having 2 camera bodies and a 24-70 plus 70-200 lens on us at all times. Most of what we do is natural light but we also do some creative flash, just check out some images below from recent weddings and some of our favourite images along the way.

Wedding Photographer Yorkshire I Eva & Brett

Back in September we kicked off a double wedding weekend with Eva & Brett at Barnsley Town Hall and then a reception at Shaw Lane Rugby Club plus we got to visit Cannon Hall for some B&G shots in-between 😁

I started early morning for some getting ready shots with Eva & the girls (eva wearing her harry potter t shirt as she was a huge fan) before setting off to Barnsley Town Hall to capture some shots of guests arriving and Brett trying to keep his cool and not look too nervous

The front of the Town Hall really did make for great images and loved the steps and space around.

After some time here I followed the B&G to Cannon Hall to get some shots all around as we had decided it would be nice plus it had more opportunities than the reception venue (plus its also nice for the couple to have some time out)

As we arrived at the reception venue and a few shots with the wedding cars we were all treated to bacon and sausage sandwiches before the speeches.

Absolutely fab day and so many friendly people, huge thanks for letting us share your special wedding day

Below are just a random selection of images from the full set of previews

Wentbridge House Pre Wedding I Melissa & James

Earlier today I met up with Melissa & James at Wentbridge House (we will also be there next Sunday for the wedding showcase) for a pre wedding shoot and to go through any info regarding their upcoming wedding. As the forecast mentioned rain I suggested we get a few pics all around the fab grounds first plus check out the village and some fav places I have got to know over the time shooting wedding here!

Literally just walking around and chatting to get to know each other a little better so you will 100% feel so much better on the actually wedding day as I really try to make it as natural and as FUN as possible with minimal posing. Melissa & James did mention they enjoyed the time and thought they would be just stood posing 😂

After some time out all around the grounds and village we sat down in the drawing room to go through some times and info

I really think these guys were naturals and as ever had a fab time at the gorgeous Wentbridge House

Woodlands Leeds Pre Wedding I Emma & Iain

The second of 2 pre wedding shoots at Woodlands today with Emma & Iain and their cute daughter Lottie. This morning I really was secretly worried as all I could see looking out the window was the rain banging down but no stress it had cleared up and the light was great all around the gorgeous grounds at Woodlands in Leeds.

We started with some relaxed shots around the grounds  and Lottie was defo the star as she posed for us (she loved it, I even let her take some shots with the camera and in a few years she might be coming for a job) 😂

Always trying to make the pre shoots fun and natural and just capturing the moments whilst giving some ideas (if you enjoy the pre shoot you will defo enjoy the wedding day as its like capturing a story that unfolds with some family shots inbetween)

After some time out in the gardens we sat down to go through ideas and family shots

Some highlights with Emma, Iain & Lottie below

Woodlands Leeds Pre Wedding I Cheryl & Paul

First of a double pre wedding shoot today at Woodlands in Leeds with Cheryl & Paul (so glad the rain stopped guys)

Soon as I saw Cheryl & Paul I suggested we get some shots using the fab grounds at Woodlands (as I was secretly thinking it might start to rain again) 😂

Cheryl & Paul were naturals and they really did enjoy the time (I could tell), as I try to make this time as fun and natural as possible so you will feel so much better on the actually wedding day (as the groom last weekend mentioned to me " kev its like having a really good friend take pictures at our wedding" that was Dan from last Fri (blog coming soon), that was such a nice thing to say and exactly what I try to achieve at every wedding, just capture the story in a more fun way, not lots of stiff and unnatural poses!

After some time in the grounds we sat down in the bar area and went through wedding info, ideas for groups etc

Defo a fun first session at Woodlands with these guys

Property Photographer Yorkshire I Property Photography

We really are LOVING shooting Property Photography in all the Yorkshire areas now alongside our Creative & Fun Wedding Photography

We have a few Estate Agents on board and love organising the shoots with the homeowners and we really do see some stunning properties all around the Yorkshire regions.

We also recently invested in a new tripod and geared head (which makes getting the verticals so much easier (important bit) plus not worrying about when you walk away from your tripod to re arrange something theres always the worry with a ball head that the head has worked loose and your camera will be on the floor, thats defo not what anybody wants haha)

Always learning (isn't everyone?) and really I always say if you can love what you do then you actually don't feel like your working

If you would like to get in touch with us to chat about working together please just email us on the web site HERE

Rogerthorpe Manor Wedding Photography I Hannah & Hayden

Wow what an awesome and super FUN day with Hannah & Hayden (#darkfruits) at Rogerthorpe Manor at the end of August (what a way to end summer)

The day was banterville from start to finish and as I love to shoot weddings in a more natural and fun style this was just perfect. I had Zoe (2nd photographer) hooking up with the guys early morn whilst me and Jordan (video) were at Hannah's parents early morning Saturday (thanks for the brekky guys)

The weather was perfect too as we just captured all the getting ready vibes at Hannah's parents house (lovely place guys #beenherebeforehaha) before everyone set off to church and we followed behind.

The vicar was an absolute legend (been at this church before too) and he was really friendly and let us do what we needed to do (not all vicars are this friendly)
After the ceremony I always encourage some time outside for interaction with the Bride & Groom before we get some family shots and Bridal Party stuff

After some time at the gorgeous church we all set off to Rogerthorpe Manor, by this time though the heavens had literally opened and the rain was bouncing down (not getting stressed its only a shower I told myself)
As the rain was coming down everyone hung out in the conservatory and bar area until hollllllla the rain stopped (I am always on weather watch) so I encouraged everyone outside onto the stunning gardens to get some couple shots and go through any family stuff as required plus really trying as ever to make it fun and as natural as possible, I really don't favour loads of boring staged shots, these are not natural and you won't enjoy the time half as much!!!

Dancing and crazy photobooth till late into the eve and a massive shout to all the staff at Rogerthorpe Manor, all the wedding guests (you were awesome) plus Zoe for 2nd shooting and Jordan on video

Below are some randomly chose highlights from about 2400 images that Hannah & Hayden have to download and relive their awesome wedding day

Wentbridge House Pre Wedding I Rebekah & Luke Engagement Shoot

This morning I hooked up with the fun loving Rebekah & Luke at Wentbridge House to go through some wedding info and to get some relaxed and natural shots of this gorgeous and defo fun couple all around the gorgeous grounds of Wentbridge House

Our pre shoots really are more about me getting more of a connection so you feel a lot more comfortable on your actually wedding day, plus if you like some of the pics too thats defo a bonus!!!!

After some time with Bekster & Luke they both said they really enjoyed it and didn't know what they were nervous about, nice one guys!

The light really was super golden as we chose early Sunday morning to meet up and get some shots before we sat down to chat and go through wedding info and get some ideas for groups down etc (i just use a Nikon d3's with the 70-200 lens, perfect combination for this type of shoot)

Below are some highlights from a fun morning at Wentbridge House with Rebekah & Luke, I always enjoy the pre shoots as theres never no time constraints like the wedding day so never feel pressured at all, if only I could get a similar time on the wedding day with the couple than I had this morning!?

Pre Wedding/Family Shoot at Cannon Hall

Today I met up with Eva & her cute kids plus Mum at Cannon Hall for a Pre Wedding shoot (brett the groom had to work unfortunately) 😞

The weather was perfect as we walked around the gorgeous grounds getting to know each other a little better (always good as on the wedding day this makes you feel so much more relaxed about having your pic taken)

The grounds at Cannon Hall really are awesome for family shoots and as ever I really dont do anything too posy as I much prefer the more natural and FUN style (basically just mess about like you do)

After some time and an ice cream we sat down to go through any wedding info outside the cafe area plus bonus I got to find out the brides dad is a massive Adam Ant fan (thats me and him talking about AA at the wedding) 😂

Defo a fab fun afternoon and was made easy with this fun loving family!

Wedding Photographer Leeds I Claire & James

A few weeks ago I spent the morning with Claire & James at Leeds Town Hall for their surprise wedding (yes the whole thing was a total surprise to everyone)
They only had a handful of guests and it was a lot more intimate and I think they were all told about 1 hour before the ceremony.
This defo didn't stop the fun though, as I parked up at the side of Leeds Town Hall early Saturday morning and waited for the Groom to arrive looking super smart in his suit.

Claire (the bride) arrived looking stunning in a gorgeous car from Tyson Cars as James was already waiting patiently inside Leeds Town Hall for her arrival.

Such a fab and fun morning too and the weather was great (just a slight wind)
I captured the whole ceremony in a more natural style and after we spent some time outside using the space at the top of the steps at Leeds Town Hall before everyone headed down to Malmaison to enjoy some relaxing time and a meal before Claire & James headed off on their honeymoon!

Fab morning and thanks for inviting me

Berties Elland Wedding Photographer - Laura & Matt

Last week I was at a new wedding venue (our first time here) in Elland at Berties for Laura & Matt's FUN Wedding!

I started early morning with all the girls getting ready (abid on make up duty) at The Old Golf House in Huddersfield and the weather really was looking spot on with lovely blue sky above. Jordan was also in the house on VIDEO duty and he was excited for the first time to use his new DJI Ronin S and Panasonic GH5 😀

After meeting Laura & Matt for a Pre Wedding shoot and some of the stuff we got up to I knew the day was literally going to be a funfest from start to finish and I have to say they didn't disappoint, absolutely awesome day!

The ceremony was inside at Berties and everybody was brought down from the Old Golf House by Cartwrights Cars in Kirkheaton (fab cars)
Laura & Matt also had a celebrant which really did make the service so much more relaxed too (we know what some registrars can be like)

After the ceremony we had organised a mini bus up the road to a nearby hospice with gorgeous grounds (as berties doesn't have any) and I really loved this time with all the parents and bridal party, lots of fun guys!

Crazy dancing till late in the eve and below are some randomly selected highlights from an EPIC and defo FUN wedding with Laura & Matt

Doncaster Wedding Photographer - Katie & Chris

Earlier today I hooked up with Katie & Chris at Mount Pleasant in Doncaster (fab place) to get some relaxed and fun shots plus sit down and chat about ideas and times for the wedding day. The weather today was defo a good day to do a pre wedding and I always think early eve in summer is good as you get the best light too

We wandered around the grounds and just checked out some areas for pictures on the day plus I really do try to make it as relaxed and fun as poss (im sure katie & chris enjoyed after they both mentioned how nervous they were at the start)

After a trip around the grounds we chilled out in the relaxing area just to the left side of reception on the comfy settees to chat about some times and ideas, Katie & Chris are having their wedding outside at Mount Pleasant so defo look forward to that in the Autumn vibe!
