Wentbridge House Wedding Photography - Nichola & Sam

Last weekend I was back at one of the fav wedding venues in the West Yorkshire regions at Wentbridge House and as a highly recommended wedding photographer here it really does feel like coming home as we have got to know quite a few of the friendly staff in our time shooting weddings.

I started at a hair salon in Knottingley with all the girls getting hair sorted and then a trip back down the road to a local Premier Inn for finishing off and getting dressed. I got a new friend too in the form of a cuddly and cute fluffy dog called Douglas (I named him), he didn't say much though 😂 but defo was cute.

After some time with the girls I set off to the church and saw Sam arriving by Tractor (he does love his tractors), and parked it up outside the church like you do.
The vicar was very familiar and I had seen him a few years back at another wedding and he actually remembered me too and I knew it would be a fun ceremony and I would be allowed to get the shots with no grumpy vicar faces like sometimes #whycantallvicarsbefun

After the ceremony we all enjoyed some time outside the church whilst we captured some interaction, confetti and formal and fun shots (quite a few people mentioned later in the eve how they thought it was so different than the bog standard boring wedding photography that you may be familiar with, thanks guys)

We headed of to Wentbridge House after some time at the church (and we arranged a ride for the B&G as the wedding car broke down but we won't mention that) to carry on the fun and get as many shots in the time allowed before they all went into the air conditioned reception room (it was a hot one).

Speeches were after the meal so this gave me some time to chill and check through some shots plus #bonus 2 guests hadn't turned up so I got treated to a full meal (spot on)

After the speeches everybody got ushered into the courtyard outside and I spent some time with everybody as they chatted and relaxed and just captured some natural shots before eve guests started to arrive so we were back in the chrystal suite for party time, it was also great to see a friend in the form of MDG Entertainment and I knew they would get banging tunes and I would end up on the dance floor with the camera ✊

Below we have some highlights from what can only be described as a fab, fun, tractor filled wedding with Nikster & Sam, all images have been randomly selected from the previews with minimal photoshopping

Lifestyle Photography in Leeds - Temple Newsam Photography

Last night I met up with Jean, Dave & Millie at Temple Newsam for a fun Lifestyle Shoot in the gorgeous sunny eve weather.

I haven't really been here for as long as I can remember so it was nice to visit somewhere new with stacks of fab places for pics, Millie was loving it too and we had a bag of treats for her along the way if she posed for us. Well that was defo a challenge getting Millie to sit still for at least 2 seconds, we took her off the lead to let her run around the huge well kept grounds of Temple Newsam and I really think she absolutely loved it, plus bonus we found a little lake later on so as expected Millie was straight in feet first 😂

Our Lifestyle Shoots really are as natural & fun as possible, we don't really go for the more static studio type vibe and we want you to enjoy every minute just chatting and enjoying the time out with loved ones creating moments along the way

Below we have some highlights from yesterday eve with Jean, Dave & Millie Moo!

Enjoy

Event Photography at Sky Lounge Leeds - Kam's 50th Party

Last Saturday we were at The Sky Lounge in Leeds to celebrate with Kam & all her friends & family (we feel like part of the family now too) for her 50th birthday party.

We parked up at Leeds train station as the parking around The Sky Lounge is almost non existent especially on a Sat night 😐

Its always been on the to do list to take a decent camera and shoot in raw at Sky Lounge to get some shots of the epic views over Leeds centre so that was defo the first job, the sky looked amazing too and it was lovely and warm. All the staff working Kam's party at Sky Lounge were super friendly too and it was nice to get a shot of all the staff too looking super smiley whilst managing to serve nibbles and drinks to everybody as they came in.

I kinda like to try blend in at events like this plus create a fun atmosphere and love pics with lots of natural smiley faces and energy, nobody wants boring pics right?

Must say a huge shout out to everybody and like I said earlier I really did feel part of the family as I got to know everybody whilst getting as many shots as poss.

Below we have some highlights from last Saturday at Sky Lounge in Leeds with Kam & her crazy bunch

Cubley Hall Engagement Photography - Laura & Louis

The last of 4 pre shoots this week with Laura & Louis (defo a week for laura's) at Cubley Hall in Penistone.

Defo love eve pre shoots too as we get lovely eve light and last night was no exception with some blue sky and fluffy white cloud coverage. We checked out the grounds first getting some nice, relaxed and fun shots, loved the filed next to the car park too think this will make a great space for some B&G shots with creative lighting techniques as we get a clear view of the sky 😃

After some time outside and getting viewed from all the people inside enjoying their tea we went to sit inside the bar area to go through wedding info and get a few ideas and group shots down

Below we have some highlights from last night with the gorgeous & fun loving Laura & Louis at Cubley Hall

Hollins Hall Wedding Photographer - Naomi & Mark

Last weekend defo had to be classed as one of the BEST and most FUN weddings I have ever shot in over 10 plus years now of shooting weddings with the fantastic couple Naomi & Mark.

I started bright and early at Naomi's mums house (jackie oh you were a friend of mine) #commodores where all the gorgeous girls were getting ready with hair & make up and it was really nice getting to know them all. Naomi's mum what a legend, fun loving and crazy!

After some time with the girls we set off to church to capture some of the guests arriving plus Mark trying not to look too nervous as he interacted with everybody before making his was inside church, the vicar lady as well what another legend (unlike some grumpy vicars) she had no probs with me shooting whatever I needed! Love her!

After the ceremony I really like to get everybody to interact with the couple and always find people are unsure what they should be doing so you just have to shout louder hehe

After a few formal and fun shots at church we set off to Hollins Hall, the weather was absolutely spot on, it couldn't have been better really, lots of cloud to diffuse that sun and some moody sky shots later in the eve when I got Naomi & Mark back outside (nothing was too much trouble and they really did everything I asked and I think this shows in how many shots we got, over 2000 previews online for them)

I really could waffle on about what an awesome day this was but you had to be there (we were)

Judge for yourself?

Check out some highlights below, all images have been totally randomly selected from over 2000 previews with minimal photoshop work

What we LOVE - Fun people, crazy people, natural shots, banter, laughter, creative people

What we don't LOVE - Grumpy people, stiff boring posed shots, unnatural poses, pretentious people

This wedding had none of the stuff we don't like and stacks of what we LOVE!

Naomi & Mark you absolute LEGENDS!

Wentbridge House Engagement Photography - Lauren & Thomas

Yesterday eve I was back down the A1 to the fab Wentbridge House to meet up with Lauren & Thomas for a Pre Wedding shoot plus go through wedding info and any formal and family shots required plus get some times down

Lots of gorgeous eve light again and as soon as I saw Lauren & Thomas & the cute Olivia I suggested we get some shots first before heading inside the air conditioned Brasserie to go through info

We had a little walk around to village (loads of fab places just outside the grounds) before heading back in and using the gorgeous grounds of Wentbridge House.

Olivia loved just wandering around doing her thing and I defo favour this approach rather than the static standing still vibe, love shots with lots of natural smiles and energy

Below we have some highlights from last night with Lauren, Thomas & Olivia

Wentbridge House Engagement Photography - Laura & Steven

Last night I met up with Laura & Steven for a Pre Shoot/Meeting back at the fab Wentbridge House (got a lovely sunset later too)

At the start of any pre shoot sometimes you might feel slightly nervous and I think Laura & Steven did but at the end of the time (hopefully) you will have really enjoyed it and bonus we get some nice relaxed shots of you too :-)

The grounds at Wentbridge House really are great for pics plus we have all the village outside Wentbridge and I am familiar with loads of fab places for great shots. I suggested to Laura & Steven we went for a stroll around first for some shots before we sat down in the air conditioned brasserie to chat about plans for the big day

Below we have some highlights from Laura & Steven's pre shoot, check out the fab sunset shots

Wentbridge House Engagement Photography - Laura & Craig

Yesterday afternoon I hooked up with the smiley Laura & Craig at Wentbridge House for a Pre Wedding Shoot/Meeting that we include in all our packages (craig was buzzing and ready to rock with his shiny shoes on)

The weather was absolutely gorgeous and after a little factor 50 on the head we set off first around the village to get some nice relaxed shots of this fun loving couple before heading back into the well kept grounds to carry on the fun.

I really do enjoy our pre shoot meetings as this is a great time to get to know our couples even more plus they feel so much more relaxed on the wedding day, both Laura & Craig mentioned they had really enjoyed today and feel loads better now for the wedding day #jobdone

Below we have some highlights from yesterdays fun with Laura & Craig at the beautiful Wentbridge House

Manorial Barn Wedding Photographer - Beckie & Kurt

I met up with Beckie & Kurt last night at a new wedding venue in Rotherham, Manorial Barn (it actually had a thatched roof too)

Its always nice on summer nights (don't start bursting into song there) too for pre shoots as we get some beautiful golden light as the sun goes down. I suggested we get a few relaxed shots first before we went through wedding info and any family pics they wanted

After some time around the barn we tripped off down the road to discover a lovely little bridge that will defo look great on the wedding day for some B&G shots!
Beckie & Kurt have the cutest daughter too called Frankie (if we would have had a girl thats what we would have called her) and she was loving the big daisys we found nearby

Below we have some highlights from last night with Beckie & Kurt
