I started at Kath's house literally a few doors away from Holdsworth House (there was no excuse for her to be late) and Jenna (our 2nd photographer) was hanging out with Mick and the guys and getting treated to a lift in the car to Holdsworth House from Paul at Westfield Cars whilst I captured shots of all the girls getting ready at Kath's.
The weather like I mentioned was defo a wet day but you know us we don't let anything spoil the fun (weddings should be fun and NOT boring). Jordan was on Video duty too and after some time with the girls and Smudge the cat we made our way down the road to Holdsworth House to check in with Jenna and wait for the Bride's arrival (helped out the car by Tracey from Holdsworth House and Paul from Westfield Cars on brolly duty)
The room where the ceremony was held looked absolutely gorgeous with the LOVE letters and the twinkling lights on the floor, and I also must say a BIG HUGE shout to the registrars who (unlike one at last weekends 2 weddings) didn't mention anything about not shooting the signatures (when they actually sign) as a natural and more journalistic wedding photographer I always think the natural moments are the best.
After the ceremony I encouraged some celebrations as everyone made their way outside (the rain was holding off thank god) for a confetti shot.
As we were already outside I just tried to keep everyone there and set about creating as many groups, fun shots, couple shots etc as possible (must say not one guest moaned once at all about being outside, Kath and Mick you have fab friends)
The reception meal was looked forward to by everyone and as the speeches were after the meal me, Jordan and Jenna had some time to review the shots in the chilled out bar area.
After the meal Kath & Mick went to have some time to freshen up (#rollercoaster #dontmentionit) and came down and said right were ready (how refreshing is that, not once did I have to constantly nag them to get some shots they were little stars all day and also Kath didn't moan once about her dress getting dirty or damp (you only wear the dress one day so just rock it and enjoy every single minute)
At the pre shoot I did discuss a dance off in the eve and Kath & Mick both agreed that would be a fab idea so I organised a Nutty Boys Dance Off to the likes of Madness and The Specials (love a bit of Two Tone)
Below we have some totally randomly selected images from Kath & Mick's EPIC wedding day below so hope you enjoy guys
