After a quick wander round the grounds to get some early morning shots of the fab gardens and new folly we headed up to room 59 where we were greeted by all the girls getting ready and the offer of a strong tea :-)
Defo love capturing the build up and always shooting a full day telling the wedding story in pictures rather than the bog standard boring traditional vibe where you maybe get somebody for a few hours to shoot some standard group shots. We sometimes can shoot a 14 hour wedding day ( like this case ) so you can imagine all the special moments we create? ( we don't work to time or clock watch )
Lots of fun & banter whilst getting ready making everybody feel at ease and I think this helps as they actually forget we are taking shots :-) We don't rely on flash ( apart from when we are getting super creative with our new Phottix Odin 2 flash triggers ) so you are not aware we are actually shooting ( I think some folk must think we look like we are having far too much fun )
When it was time to head off to the church we did notice the wet stuff from the sky was falling quite hard so a quick dash to the car we set off to get sorted before the Bride arrived.
Just running slightly late the super gorgeous Christine made her entrance as I had Tom second shooting up on the balcony plus I was ready at the front of the church to capture her walk down the aisle with her Dad, we also had boy wonder Jordan on video duties at the front plus cameras covering various angles
What can I say about the Vicar ( what a laugh ), after the ceremony we made our way outside and managed to grab a few shots as well as confetti even though it was raining quite a bit ( thanks for being epic guys )
The reception was back to Wentbridge House where everybody shot straight into the bar as it was still raining ( can you blame them ) but as I was on weather watch and totally praying it would stop my prayers were answered and I got everybody outside for a group shot plus lots of fun as pre usual ( you do have to be a bit assertive and loud sometimes as a wedding photographer but hey thats suits me fine, never shy away from banter )
We got some formal shots plus lots of fun before they all went inside the Crystal Suite to relax and ' fill their boots '
I really could waffle on for every about how fab the wedding was and how much we love Christine & Craig ( we have been friends for over 2 years now as they booked us quite a while ago ) but hey you want to see some shots right?
