Yorkshire Sculpture Park Wedding Photography I Yorkshire Wedding Photographer

Our very first wedding at Yorkshire Sculpture Park last weekend with Julie & Paul who live in the Midlands now but both grew up around Wakefield where most of the families also live so they are regular visitors to their home town and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park

The weather was looking good plus we had that Bank Holiday vibe so everybody (or most folk) had an extra day off work to get into the party spirit 😃. I started off at Cedar Court Wakefield to see Julie and her Bridesmaids getting ready with hair & make up, I really love this time as it allows me to capture the fun and also get to know everybody a little bit better so they feel more relaxed in my company and hopefully forget I'm actually taking pictures.

I set off to Crofton Church Wakefield after a few hours with the girls to see Paul looking super smart and chatting with everybody as they arrived (he didn't look nervous honest)
This is also a good time for me to have a chat with the priest to check in and see if there is any do & dont's I need to be aware of, after a little chat with the lady priest I was assured there wasn't many restrictions (we rarely use flash inside church and prefer the natural light capability of our Nikon D750's super capable high iso)

After the ceremony and some kisses & hugs outside with everybody I got the Bride & Groom ready for the all important confetti shot (love a good confetti shot), we decided that we would make our way to Yorkshire Sculpture Park to get some formal shots plus we actually had planned a tour of the park in a Land Rover so massive thanks to Howard for this! He took us to some lovely locations all around the park whilst family & friends enjoyed the drinks outside and got to know each other better. When I arrived back I started some formal shots with a group shot of everybody (there was a balcony which really did help to get a group shot where we could see everybody) then as many family & friends shots as time allowed.

The reception meal was planned for around 6pm where the staff had transformed the cafe area into a really lovely space and tables and all the decorations really did look great so well done to them for that! Speeches were planned for after the meal so this gave me some time to get some outdoor shots of the building plus sneak off for a short break.

Lots of fun & laughter as ever and really great weather for our first ever wedding at Yorkshire Sculpture Park plus I got to meet some really fab people (lovely man there with a Nikon film camera who mentioned to me that he had been to quite a few weddings and he had never seen anybody like me, he mentioned how much he really loved my style and how I was so easy to talk to and how I interacted with everybody, there's method in the madness (is that and adam and the ants lyric right there))

Below we have over 300 images from Saturday's wedding at Yorkshire Sculpture Park (these are just the highlights from over 1000 shot)
