Katie & Jason had also seen us at a recent wedding where they were guests and really enjoyed our fun style of wedding photography ( wedding photography doesn't have to be so serious, lots of fun as standard with us ) and they secured us after bobbing along to a wedding showcase event we were attending, thanks guys!
I started off at Katie & Jason's home in Horbury ( not too far from us ) and was met by Katie's sister ( coming over from the big apple New York to see her sis getting married, her husband had even made the wedding rings as this is what their business is in New York ( I so would love to go to New York one day ) what a kind gesture and so personnel :-) plus Lorna who we also met at a recent wedding plus crazy selfie loving Mia ( Katie's daughter )
Always trying to blend in when taking getting ready shots as to not really get in the way plus always like to catch things as they naturally happen as apposed the forcing and setting up shots all day, makes for much better journalistic wedding photography.
After getting some getting ready shots, plus being DJ ( had to get some Adam & the Ants tunes on, plus searching for Mia's phone ) I let everybody got their dresses on and waited outside ( it was nice to meet Keren from Nostell Wedding Cars for the very first time after being friends on facebook and seeing her business develop )
Getting a few shots of the absolutely beautiful super clean wedding car before I set off to Waterton Park to wait Katie's arrival. Grabbing a few shots of Katie & Dad before I made my way into the ceremony room to see Jason waiting patiently for her arrival.
After the service we all made our way outside, the weather was slightly on the chillier side and the threat of rain was prominent so had to work quick, first getting the confetti shot plus lots of fun group shots ( thanks again to Pauline ) then as everybody made their way over the bridge we got some formal, family & defo fun shots down in the time allowed before everybody had to be escorted back across to be seated for the reception meal, the rain was coming down at this point so quick walking ensued to get across the bridge.
As everybody was seated and the speeches were after meal I always like to give the couple some time to relax without having any cameras present so a quick break before heading back up to catch some interaction plus get ready to catch the speeches.
Later on we set up the super W I D E Photo Booth backdrop to create some fun shots with all our Photo Booth props plus capturing the dance floor action
Below we have a highlights selection from Saturday's wedding at Waterton Park with Katie & Jason
Enjoy
