Wedding Season
The wedding season is well underway for this year so why not
take a look at what’s trending with modern brides when it comes to wedding underwear
for their big day. As well as a few useful hints & tips thrown in along the
way to help you, when choosing your own bridal lingerie.
A bridal corset has long since been popular with brides who
are looking to achieve a nice, smoothed outline to their figure beneath their
gown. Wedding corsets were designed to have waist cinching & figure shaping
qualities and can be ideal for achieving that hourglass figure for the bride.
As many new wedding gowns on the market are open neck or off the shoulder in
design it tends to restrict brides to a strapless wedding underwear option. If
the dress design allows, then a well fitted wedding corset can provide good
upper body support.
Another good feature that a lot of bridal corsets feature is
a lace up back, which gives you the ability to adjust it for your own comfort
levels & finished look. The aim is to have a nice even lacing top &
bottom for a comfortable fit, but of course it’s purely down to personal
preference.
For brides who are still looking for good support for their
bust but would find a corset a little too restrictive, then a wedding bustier
is a popular alternative. This is especially the case for dresses with a low
back design, also becoming increasingly popular, as a bridal bra would be unsuitable.
It’s important when choosing low back underwear to get it in
plenty of time to try it on with the dress & make sure your underwear line
remains well hidden. One simple trick that some of our brides have done in the
past is to get some small popper studs sewn on the inside of their gown along
with their lingerie to keep it well hidden.
Bridal bustiers can often double up beautifully as your
wedding night underwear for that first wedding night, especially if they have a
nice romantic finish to them. We’ve often get brides coming to us who have been
struggling for really nice plus size lingerie for their wedding day. So if you
