I started at Wentbridge House around mid morning with all the girly getting ready (love this bit) and everybody was so welcoming with us trying to blend in the background looking for special moments and being ready to shoot at every available opportunity 😂 , we had Jordan onboard with video plus Jenna (one of our fab second photographers later to catch the guests arriving at church just down the side of Wentbridge House.
The weather really was looking great, perfect temperature and lovely blue sky! After some girly vibes I headed off to church myself to see guests arriving plus catch some of the banter before everybody was asked to be seated for the Brides arrival. At Wentbridge church the photographer has to stand at the back throughout the ceremony (sorry no front shots) plus they don't allow videography inside the church (not sure why)
After the service we are never ones to jump straight into shots, much prefer to let guests come outside and interact with the Bride & Groom through some guidance as people never seem to know what to do (you defo need good organisational skills as a wedding photographer, me organised?) 😛
Megan & Stephen were going for a little drive in the car supplied by Cartwrights of Kirkheaton as everybody set off walking down the lane round the corner back to Wentbridge House, I asked if it was ok to come along and maybe stop somewhere to get some nice Bride & Groom shots
We arrive back at Wentbridge House to a huge round of applause and after some shots with the car we set about with group and formal shots using the time we had before everybody was escorted into the Leatham Suite for a receiving line (more photo opportunities). Mark who was running the wedding at Wentbridge House really is great and so organised as he announced the Bride & Groom into the Chrystal Suite for the reception (speeches were after meal)
After reception and speeches we prised as many guests as we could back outside on the front lawn to get lots of fun & creative shots that we have become known for around Yorkshire, as Creative & defo Fun Wedding Photographers we really do love this time plus we had some awesome eve light #goldenhour
